Digital television transmitters in the UK generally have 6 multiplexes; each multiplex caries a group of channels. A scan list gives frequencies and basic parameters for all the multiplexes on a specific transmitter. The scan program (available as part of the linuxtv-dvb-apps package at http://www.linuxtv.org) takes this list and scans all the frequencies in it to produce a list of channel settings for that transmitter, which can then be used with media players such as xine or mplayer.
If you create any channel lists from scan lists currently lacking channel lists, please e-mail them to me for inclusion in this table.
